The monthly service fee remains the same regardless which apartment style you choose to live.  By our contract the monthly service fee can only be increased COLA for social security.  If Social Security goes up 2.0% then the service fee goes up 2.0%.

Your entrance fee is classified as “Prepaid Medical Expense” .  This mean that Internal Revenue Service Ruling 76481 allows for a designated percentage of both the entrance fee (during the year in which it is paid) and the monthly service fee to be taken as a medical expense deduction.
